The Art And Therapeutic Nature Of Patterns
Workshops, Courses & Retreats Exploring The Oneness Of Things
Australia, International and Online Learning with Stephanie June Ellis
Nature never hurries. Atom by atom. Little by little. She achieves her work.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Explore from the roots up the cyclical patterns
of The Plant World covering topics on Mycelium, Seeds and Flowers.
Stephanie will draw upon miraculous species and lead students through an array of geometric constructions.
The Full course features guest ecologist Milou Hoffman
discussing the interconnected world of your local forests.
The course covers 8 tutorials over 28 drawings.

~ Student Testimonial ~
"There is so much information you have shared, hence my mind swirls and whirls even more than it did before. Amazing! The possibilities are limitless and it is so much fun taking the time to stare in wonder at the nature, the beautiful nature, that surrounds us. Thank you so much" ~ Maree Stephens

CLASS ONE
~ Fungi ~
Fungi are made up of fluid like aether and are master decomposers that keep forests living and humans breathing.
Students will explore the principles of opposites resisting and resolving into spirals through The Mushroom Vortex.
The concentric growth zones of The Turkey Tail
and take a close look at The Clathrus Rubber and White Basket Fungis Truncated Icosaherdon architectural structure.
______________________________________________________________________
CLASS TWO
~ Fungi continued with
The Mycelium Fractal Network ~
Class Two explores The Hilbert Curve Method.
A continuous fractal space filling curve known as a Lindenmayer System describing infinite and finite space.
We will also draw a biomorphic and geometric FracTree.
______________________________________________________________________
CLASS THREE
~ Seed Pods ~
Class Three explores Eucalypt and Casuarina Seed Pods and The Archimedean Spiral
______________________________________________________________________
CLASS FOUR
~ Guest speaker ~ An informative and visual presentation from Ecologist Milou Hoffman
followed by drawing the Protea Spiral ( number 21 ) ~
_________________________________________________________________
CLASS FIVE
~ Class explores Scabiosa Stellata ~ Dodecahedron Banksia flowers ~ Tridecagra (13) Pentadecagon (15)
& Triacontagram (30)
__________________________________________
CLASS SIX
~ The cyclic motion of a Moon flower incorporating
biomorphic movements to create abstract botanicals.
The six fold nature of The gorgeous Mother Of Millions (Kalanchoe) and a very rare number in nature ~ Eleven.

CLASS SEVEN
~ Phyllotactic Spirals ~
This class is split into two sessions.
Class seven explores the number five in nature.
Students will complete three variations.

CLASS EIGHT
~ Phyllotactic Spirals Continued ~
Class includes four drawings exploring
Alternate elliptical spirals
Tricussate, Decussate Whorled Phyllotaxy.
